El día de hoy Angelique Kidjo ha puesto en su sitio web y en su MySpace la canción Move On Up en la que Bono y John Legend colaboran, y que forma parte ÕŸÖ, el nuevo álbum de la artísta africana en el cual incluyó canciones de los artístas que la inspiraron cuando creció en Benín como Aretha Franklin, Curtis Mayfield, Otis Redding, James Brown y Miriam Makeba, además de la música tradicional de su país y canciones de filmes Hollywood  y Bollywood.

One – Interpretada por Johnny Cash

Bono escribió el estribillo de Stranded -el sencillo a beneficio de Haití, en el que colabora a lado  de Jay-Z y Rihanna, que también se ha subtitulado como “Haiti Mon Amour” o “Haiti Mi Amore- mientras hablaba por teléfono con el productor Swizz Beatz.

“La idea de la canción es No vamos a dejarlos varados y eso es lo que el coro es” comenta Swizz Beatz a la revista Rolling Stone. “Bono y yo empezamos en un ir y venir de ideas, él me decía, ‘¿Sabes, la palabra stranded (varado) me llama mucho la atención’ y yo le pedí que cantara, me puso en espera porque estaba grabando las ideas en una grabadora personal – así lo hizo allí y luego al teléfono.”

Swizz Beatz inició la canción enviando mensajes de texto simultáneos a Jay-Z y Bono. Después, en una conferencia telefónica de tres horas, todos estuvieron de acuerdo con el proyecto, que se armó en sesiones dispersas geográficamente, con el trabajo de producción adicional de The Edge. “Sabía que Jay sería capaz de contar una historia, y que Bono sería capaz de cantarla y llevarla a casa. El último componente que añadí es a Rihanna, ella es como el ángel que está en la pista, suavizándola y dándole ese sentimiento de afecto, porque este estribillo es muy poderoso”.

La canción se estrenará con una actuación en directo en “Hope For Haiti Now” el viernes por la noche, que se transmitirá por varias cadenas, y pronto será lanzado como sencillo en iTunes, de acuerdo con Swizz Beatz.
